Configure and schedule reports

This tutorial describes how to create summary and detailed reports, taking the Users page as an example.

Although the report wizards displayed on different Admin Panel pages feature varying sets of filtering options, the general approach to configuring report parameters is similar for every Admin Panel page.

Create a summary report

To configure and schedule a new summary user report, navigate to the Users page, and then click the New Report button that is displayed on the top of the page.

In the New Report wizard, proceed as follows:

  1. On the Main Settings page, fill in the main report options:

  • Report Name — specify the name by which the report can be identified.

  • File Format — specify the required format for the report (XLS or CSV).

In addition, you can select the option to send the report by email, and then specify the recipients to which the report must be delivered.

Click Continue to proceed to the next wizard step.

  1. On the Filters page, specify the additional report options:

  • Use Float Dates — enable this option to specify a time range for filtering the report data by specifying the following fields:

    • Last Login — the number of days, weeks, months or years since the date when users were last logged in to the exchange.

    • Created At — the number of days, weeks, months or years since the date when user profiles were created.

When the Use Float Dates option is disabled, you can specify custom ranges for the Last Login and Created At fields.

  • Search by e-mail — enter the emails of users that are to be included in the report.

  • Status — specify which profile status users must have to be included in the report.

  • Role — specify which roles users must be assigned to be included in the report.

To generate the configured report, click Generate Report.

To save the report template, which you can then configure on the Reports page, click Save as Template.

Click Apply & Proceed to proceed to the final wizard step.

  1. On the Schedule page, specify the scheduling options:

  • Start on — the date on which the report generation must start.

  • at — the time at which the report generation must start.

  • repeat — the periodicity at which the report must be generated (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or once).

If you have saved the report template on the previous wizard page, you can leave these fields empty and download the report manually on the Reports page at any time.

Click Apply to save the changes and close the wizard.
