Add a new asset

Important

This operation can be performed only by users assigned the Admin role.

To add a new asset to the exchange, proceed as follows:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Assets in the Admin Panel main menu.

  2. Click the Add asset button displayed at the top of this screen.

  3. In the Add asset dialog that is invoked, specify the following asset settings:

  • Asset Symbol — the unique identifier of the asset. Typically, it is a shortened version of the asset name (such as BTC for Bitcoin), which is used to identify markets (such as BTC/EUR).

  • Asset Name — the original asset name, such as defined by a token proprietor undertaking an ICO (initial coin offering).

  • Withdrawal Fee — the fee charged for withdrawing funds denominated in this asset. This value is read-only and is configured in the system which you use to withdraw and deposit funds. This value is normalized to 0–1 range.

  • Scale — The number of decimal places displayed for asset amounts, which also determines the Price Scale and Amount Scale limits for related markets. This value must be within 2–18 range.

  • Can Deposit — specifies whether users are allowed to make deposit transfers with the asset.

  • Can Withdraw — specifies whether users are allowed to make withdrawal transfers with the asset.

  1. Click Proceed to create a new asset and close the dialog window.
